Part 1: Where to Start? Exploring Options for Alternative Responder Programs in your Community

In this webinar, we’ll be discussing various models for alternative responder and co-responder programs, with a special focus on models that work in rural communities. We’ll help you identify which type of program might work best for your community, stakeholders who need to be included in the conversations, and how to begin the planning process.

Part 2: Nuts & Bolts - Policies, Procedures, and Getting Started

For agencies who have decided to add an alternative responder component, we’ll cover many of the frequently-asked questions about what it looks like day to day. We’ll share example policies, procedures, and review the logistics for implementing a Community Care program.

Part 3: The Dollars Behind the Difference: Funding Rural Police Social Work

In this session, we’ll cover common expenses related to Community Care programs. We’ll share what we’ve learned about the types of funding available for rural communities, what should be included in grant proposals, and how we can help you find and secure funding for alternative responder positions.

Part 4: Data-Driven Care: Program Evaluation and Measuring Success

Funders and community stakeholders alike need data to know that these programs are working. In this webinar, we will discuss how to define success, and offer examples of what to measure, how to measure it, and how to report those results.
